INSTA-CERT was established 2004-03-11 with the purpose of implementing certification in a co-operation between DS Certificering A/S, Nemko AS, Inspecta Sertifiointi Oy and SP.

The intention is to implement certification on basis of standards or corresponding documents, adjusted to the Nordic conditions, and to give manufacturers and buyers the possibility for certification with a high quality level in an established system deeply rooted in the four Nordic countries.

Through several years a Nordic co-operation has existed. By establishing INSTA-CERT this co-operation has been extended and has entered a new phase with huge advantages for the customers. As an example common rules are established. The applicant is free to choose at which certification body he wants to apply and subsequently a license is issued. The license is valid in all four countries.
